I ordered this package as it was cheaper than some of the smaller packages of the red chili pepper flakes, and I needed them for several recipes. Because of the size, I was able to put about half of the package into several empty spice containers that I've hoarded over the years and give some to several friends. Both because they already had recipes that called for this specific spice, and also to encourage some of my friends to try new foods. This pepper has a distinct taste and I was glad to get this for future meals.
