Description:
Stainless steel wire rope with the material number 1.4401 consists of a stainless austenitic steel with an addition of approx. 16.5-18.5 chromium, about 10.0-13.0% nickel and about 2.00-2.50% molybdenum combined. The stainless steel rope has a high level of corrosion resistance in chlorine-containing media as well as in non-oxidizing acids. It is slightly magnetizable and has a medium weldability. The material 1.4401 is easy to cold form. The wire rope is not seawater resistant and, when welded, has no resistance to intergranular corrosion. It is easy to polish and forge.
You can choose from 7x7 wire rope, consisting of 7 strands with 7 wires each, and 7x19 wire rope, consisting of 7 strands with 19 wires each.
The wire rope is normally used where load-bearing capacities and high abrasion resistance are required. It is ideal for securing and lifting various loads. Thanks to its excellent corrosion resistance, stainless steel wire rope can be used both indoors and outdoors. The main areas of application for stainless steel ropes are:
