  • Condition: This doll is from 1949-50's. Hard plastic. moveable arms, legs, sleep eyes. Red hair w/ bangs. Hair is in an updo (as found) and looks thin. Her limbs are slightly loose. Might want to restring her, but I found she was fine for display as she is.... No cracks or other blemishes do I see. Check pics. Ask questions. I have added more pics to try and show you how thin the hair is. If you move it around you can see the wig base. I took it down for the first time today (at someone's request) and added the last 4 pics. It covers the head, but you can move it around and see the wig base. Hope this helps explain it.

    Description

    This doll has a beautiful face and pretty red hair  (Some might call it strawberry blonde, but to me it is red)  Hair is in an updo  (as found) and looks thin.  No cracks or blemishes that I see.  She wears a dress with a removeable peblum (overskirt).   She also wears pantaloons, socks and red shoes.   I don't believe any of the clothing is original, but they sure look cute on her and fit just great.  A hat with a red ribbon also matches the dress perfectly (same material).  Her home (ie , showcase) is getting too crowded so she is looking for a more prominent place to be displayed.  Ask questions.   Be glad to answer what I can.  Additional comments made today:  6-13-21
    Someone asked to see the hair down, so I relunctantly did ...   So I could see and take pics of the hair.   It seems to be of average length, but if you move it around you can see the "wig base"...  Covers OK, and I tried to redo the updo...  I am not good at hair fixing....!!! LOL.
