Bi-Metal - Long Life Blade - features high speed steel ( HSS ) hardened teeth. This type of blade is suitable for harder wood, copper ( copper pipes ), aluminum, fiberglass, plasterboard, hard plastic ( acrylics, Plexiglas ) and non-ferrous metals. The hardened teeth ensure a longer life compared to standard carbon based blades. This type of blade can be used for demolition. Not Suitable for High Strength Steel which includes nails, screws and bolts etc.

These blades are made for removing grout, mortar or thin-set. You can also use them for removal of adhesives and other stubborn materials. The design gives you the right tool and shaped head to get the job done. Its indicated material (carbide, and/or diamond coating) is skillfully applied to the attachments edge, leads to longer blade life as well as easier removal of tougher stubborn materials.
The rasp is also effective at removing badly flaked old paint, or putty residue from window frames when re-glazing. Can be used on wood for coarse shaping, or for quickly removing rotten wood from window frames etc prior to filling.
Please keep working surface lubricated. Lubrication will greatly extend blades usable life.
